Greetings and Invitation to Lunar New Year Celebration Gathering 2014

10 January 2014

Dear Member

Greetings and Invitation to Lunar New Year Celebration Gathering

A New Year heralds a new beginning. As one year shifts to the next, I would like to wish every Gan Clan member and your family a happy, healthy and wealthy year ahead.

I hope that 2013 was a big year for you as it was for Gan Clan Singapore (GCS). GCS went into uncharted waters to “transform” our auditorium into a heritage centre. With the official opening of our Gan Heritage Centre on 5 September 2013, this not only provides us with an excellent platform to provide the connectivity amongst Gan Clan members but also promote traditional Chinese values, culture and language.

In this regard, I like to stress that all that we have achieved over the past year would not have been possible without our members’ dedication and commitment, especially from the various committees and their members. My special thanks and gratitude for everyone’s contribution.

In its year plan for 2014, GCS will kick-start our line-up of activities in the Year of the Horse with our Lunar New Year Celebration Gathering.  Details are as follows:

Date & Day        :           2 February 2014 (Sunday)

Time                  :           11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Venue                :           Gan Clan Auditorium

Programme       :           Lion Dance, “Yu Sheng”, sumptuous Buffet Lunch,

Cultural Performance and Presentation of Recognition Awards to Honorary Life Presidents

I look forward to having you and your family members join us for some fellowship and to be a part of this celebration.

Members are also invited to a series of Gan Heritage Centre Open House in 2014. Although the Open House is scheduled to be held on the first Sunday of the month in 2014 (namely, 2 March, 6 April, etc.), kindly call the Secretariat or visit our website for confirmation of these dates nearer to date (just in case of any changes). With this wide selection of dates available, I am confident that you will be able to visit our Heritage Centre on a date of your choice.

GCS looks ahead to 2014 with organising more members’ programs and your support of our mission and community initiatives. I look forward to having you and your family at this gathering. Please RSVP to [email protected] or call Tel: 6223 0739 to confirm your attendance by

20 January 2014.Thank you.

With best wishes

Dr Gan See Khem
